Here are a few of our favorite things to do in Lake Tahoe: Ride the Heavenly Gondola: 
Heavenly is a fantastic ski resort near Lake Tahoe that offers gondola rides up to a observation deck 9200 feet high for some of the most amazing views you will ever see! The gondola follows 2 miles of cable line to the top of the mountain. Rides are a little steep on price at $40 for adults and $20 for kids, but you will forget about all of that once you are breathing the crisp mountain air and taking in the scenery. Kings Beach is a stretch of awesome sandy beach over 3 miles long on the north shore of the lake. It is free to use the beach but you may have to pay for parking unless you park elsewhere in town and walk from there. The beach has a picnic area and a playground. Being on King’s beach makes you feel like you are at the ocean with gorgeous blue water as far as the eye can see. It is a great place to spend a day relaxing in the sun and swimming or boating in the lake. Emerald Bay – Things to do in Lake Tahoe
Emerald Bay is a beautiful bay on the southwest shore of the lake that was carved out of the granite by glaciers long ago. There, you will find Vikingsholm a Scandinavian style mansion that was built in the 1920’s. You can tour the mansion for a small fee. If you tote along your own snorkeling gear you can snorkel the underwater park and check out the sunken ships of Emerald Bay that were used during the building of Vikinsholm. This is a really fun day trip that offers a variety of activities all in one place for very little cost, we highly recommend it.
